Week 31 I did not get your letter!!

(Here is my as promised long letter from Taylor  haha, he did not get my letter so I'm sure he thought I will just send a short letter.)

just to let you know i did not get your letter!!!
but this week was a good week we had 8 baptisms!!!! whoo hoo!! It was
one family and a few other people but its really cool to see how
the gospel changes lives!!Tthe family we were teaching at the start
they had a decent relationship he drank  a lot and he had other women he
would mess around with but as we taught them they began to grow
closer together and closer to god!!and now they are happily married and
they don't have any more problems!! Its great to get the chance to see
gods hand shaping the lives of others!!
I love you guys hope all is well!!!

Week 30

This weeks letter was questions and answers from Taylor.  I actually caught him online and was able to chat with him back and forth for about an hour.  He said he is happy and he loves his mission.  The power is still going out at night so they have to use their generator to get cooled.  He promised me a good long letter for next week as you can see by that post it wasn't very long:)  He said he should have lots of baptisms next week and was excited about that.  He is having a hard time sending pictures because of the power and the internet is not very good.

Week 29 Today I am doing good!!

Today I am doing good!!! and this week was good we had a lot of success we found 15 new people to teach!!! and we opened a marriage process for a couple! The power is more stable this week but the last two night we haven't had power until 11:30 so that kinda stunk!! Teaching is going good we have a lot of people we are teaching right now we hope to have a baptism of 13 people on the 7 of march but all depends on the other family that we should open the process this week and hopefully it will be on wed!! So that will be a good day!!! and that picture was from my first area Carlos and Joanna, they are my favorite family ever!!! I was so sad leaving them but I have found more and there sons name is Wesley, he is a crazy kid he is only one year old and is huge!!! He likes running and falling on the ground!!!  Yes, I am taking pictures but this computer I'm on today wont read my card so you will have all of them next week!!!  I still haven got your package yet but I will let you know!!   I don't have a lot of money this week because we spent it all on gas for our generator so I don't have much time today!

YES WE HAVE POWER!! Week 28

YES WE HAVE POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we finally got power after 15 days without it!!!! It was a tough 15 days!!!! and it was way worse than camping but we have power now!!! Those two weeks with out power really stunk it made all of us in the house not want to go out it was a tough week!! We would take a shower get out and get all hot and sweaty as soon as we got out and all of our spirits were down because we knew that we wouldn't have power when we got home and what made it worse was it was blazing hot outside and it threw us out of our groove!!! All of our patience levels were at like a one any time someone would say something on the road to us that was making fun of us or were being annoying we just wanted to kill them!!! We would get home and not want to do our daily planning because we couldn't see anything, but we had the generator at the end of day 5 without energy and hooked it up to the water pump and after hooked it up to the Air Conditioner and we all slept in the same room and it was a mess!!!! hahah but we are starting to get back in the groove and the natives don't have air conditioners so it doesn't bother them the only thing they use power for is to watch tv and listen to music so it didn't bother them much!!! The area of Manga is big, there are 3 branches here and 14 missionaries in the area! AND MANGA T3  doesn't exist t3 is and area in Maputo and Manga is here! My comp does not have a blog! and I havent got bitten (by a chameleon) yet so I don't know but all the natives say they can kill you if they bite you which is false! Yes they change colors and about picking me up you can its not discouraged but there is nothing to see here in Mozambique we would have to go to South Africa but instead of you picking me up I would rather go to Hawaii it would be way more fun for the family and cheaper!!!! and you guys still owe me a Hawaii trip because I got my Eagle Scout!!!!
So right now we are teaching three family's Girao and Angela, Alberto and Ugene, and Fernando and Miloca, and these three family's should be baptized this transfer we just have to work on their marriage documents which takes some time
Girao and Angela: they are a couple we found he is 24 she is 18 they have one little girl and they are excited to get baptized and married!!! They are both really short its funny like Aunt Jenny's height and maybe smaller!!
Alberto and Ugene: this is a nice family that has a little more money than our others!! We were at their house and he turned on the tv and NBA came on so we watched a little basketball which was nice but they have one little boy he works a ton so he is almost never home but comes to church all the time.
Fernando and Miloca: this is a way nice family we found while doing house contacts they have two little girls and they are very cute!!! their names are Jenni and Marry! They don't have much money and she has no documents so she has to register again and that will cost about 1000 MT  and for his job he fixes TVs and he doesn't make much but they want to get married really bad and get baptized!!
Those are our family's for now but we are looking for more this week

but this week was a little slow because we had to walk in a tripple because Elder Sorenson so we had one day in our area and the next in Elder Goings area so the week went slow and it rained like every day and all the roads were flooded!!! While I was walking down the road it looked like a little stream so I went to walk through it but it was a little deeper than I thought it was and it went up to my waist!!!    but I am out of time today. My birthday was good a made a cake for my self and it was nice! but I started putting stuff on drop box but I ran out of time i'll put more on next week and I start the spiritual things next week!!! love you thcau

Still NO POWER!! Week 27

February 10, 2014

Heyy family this week the power still hasn't been on but they say it should be on by Friday!!! but every day we hear something different so in all honesty we have no idea when it will be on!! but they say a transformer blew in Chimoio and they just take forever to do anything here!!!  but they say they are working on it!! well our church dosen't have a generator because we have it! but the one in the big city has one!  and yes I know Elder Bender he is in Manga 3. The house we are in now is way nice way better than the last but our neighbors got a dog this week and it just barks all night long but the house is nicer! Well the things that lack here are a lot compared to Maputo I cant find bacon here and the meat is more expensive and everything is just a little less quality here! and the croc was 40 for me but I didn't use any home money don't worry and yes they have chameleons here we actually caught one on Friday and its funny because the people here think the they will kill you everyone is scared of them here!! and I have plenty of time to read the letter. I have 2 hours to email! My package probably wont get here for  a while because I'm in Beria, the office might get it but I wont for a while but I'll let you know and another thing that would be cool to have would be a calender like the ones we get from the Christmas party with pictures in it of family and friends and my mission ends on June 9, 2015 so you could make the calender go till then but one of the elders in my house have one and its pretty cool it has his friends and family all over it but he leave to home tomorrow he lives in Mesa AZ  and his comp is My first comp Elder Going so when he leaves I will be comps with him again!!! We will be in a trio!! and on these computers I cant load pictures it kinda sucks so when we find a new place I will send some! and this week we had 5 baptisms for some kids of a member who was recently baptized but the missionaries didn't teach the kids so we did and baptized them! that's all of Mozambique news, bye, love you, miss you!

To Hell and I don't know if we are back yet!! Week 26

Heyy family how is everyone doing? This week has been a week to remember, and not for the good reasons!!! hahah
Monday: today was a day of relaxation!! We just slept and chilled in the house because we were dead tired!!!! but that night we had a pretty successful night we taught 3 lessons and found I think 2 new families!!
Tuesday: Zone Conference!!!! We had zone conference which was awesome!!! We had Elder Hamilton of the 70 come and talk to us and we learned a lot!!! One thing he did say was the Africa south mission area had the highest baptism rate per elder in the world!! That's pretty awesome!!! Elder Kitchen and I pretty much walked home which sucked!! We didn't have money to spend to catch a chappa! but we finally made it home but we came home to no power and that's when it all started!!! But we went out and had a few lessons in the blistering heat and made some contacts!! but we got through the day!!! and luckily we got home to power and had a cold nights sleep!!!
Wednesday: Woke up to no power!!! blah!!! and our cellphone was turned off and had stopped working, its very hard to do missionary work here without a phone!!! so we went out to our lesson that we had marked for the morning but he wasn't there and we couldn't call him because of our phone!! so we went back home to do our studies but it is very hard to study when its like 90 degrees in our home and humid so we ditched that plan and went to the city to fix our phone!! and as we got there we realized that it wasn't just us out of power but the whole city so we couldn't do anything to our phone!! So we did our best and worked through the rest of the day!! We finally get home and we still don't have energy, no shower no lights and the worst no air conditioner!!! but that's not the worst part our neighbor decides to have a party until 3 in the morning and they live right next to us their house is connected to ours so we can here everything they were blasting music until 3!!!  and mixed with our 10000000 degree house none of us slept that night and when morning came still no energy!!!!
Thursday: well still no energy in our house, phone, and our bodies!!! haha but we worked as best as we could that day and when the night came still no energy!!! but we got smart and went to the church and took their generator and got some gas and I hooked up one air conditioner to the generator and we all slept in the same room!!! the only problem was we ran out of gas at like 2 in the morning!! hahaha but we made it through the night
Friday: woke up still no energy and no phone but we worked all day as best as we could and got through the day and got more gas for the generator so that night I hooked up the water pump to the generator as well so we could shower finally!!!
Saturday: still no energy but that day we finally got our phone fixed!! and we were going to get some more wire to hook up our whole house to the generator but the hardware store never opened so we went to the city and got some and went home and had an electrician come and hook it up for us but the people who hooked up the house did a crappy job and there was to much resistance to power the house so we went back to the room and to one air conditioner!!
Sunday: still no power still hot and all of our food went bad!!!! but we were looking forward till Monday!
Monday: not p-day because it was a holiday and nothing was open!!! but what we did do was go to a restaurant and ate freaking crocodile!!!! it costed 1200 met ( 40 dollars) but it was the best meal I had ever had!!! It was a restaurant way out in the jungle in the boonies' and it was awesome!! the food lifted our spirits a little but we still didn't have power!!
Tuesday: today!!! still now power and it wont be on until the end of the week is what we heart but it could be longer!!! longest week ever except for the crocodile!!! but we still don't have food and anything because we don't have a fridge!! but we still work!!
