Week 8
Hey family!!!! All is good here in Africa!!!! It’s been kind
of cold here the last 2 days it was like
50 degrees and raining!!! I am getting
slowly better at Portuguese!!!!! I love
my new companion!! He is from Eugene, Oregon!! The construction workers aren't in my area so
I don’t know what’s up with them!!Ii got the letters but they are hard to read!
I can get almost everything I need they don’t have certain foods and I miss Taco
Bell the most!!!! hahahah I miss you guys
the most of course but I also miss music a lot hahah!!! And I didn't see the touchdown!! I still haven’t seen any monkeys!!!!! I am
going to miss the crepes!!! I am sad about that!!! I cant believe that we still have a cat!! When did grandpa get sick? I will be praying
for him!! Troy Christensen got his call
he is going to Buenos Aries Argentina!!!
Monday we just chilled at the house, we didn't do much, it
was a day of basking because Elder Going didn't like to do much!!!
Tues: Tuesday I got my new companion he flew in from Beria
(which is in the north part) his name is Elder Robinson I like him a lot and he
is way good at teaching lessons!!!
Wed: Well since I have been in Magoanine longer I have to show
him where everything is and I realized I always followed elder going I never
really paid that much attention to where I was going!! hahaha but I can find
most things. We had a lesson that night and we went to go to the house and I
thought I knew where it was at and I ended up being on the wrong freaking road!!!!!!
hahahah but besides that I pretty much know where everything else is!!!
Thursday: We had some great lessons on the law of
chastity!!!! Most of the people here don’t get married they just live together
and this week we are helping like 3 families
start the marriage process and that’s really big here because it costs like
1000 MET which is only like 37 American dollars but here that’s huge!!!!
Friday: Our main man Amerall said that he has finally
stopped drinking and smoking and he wants to get married and baptized!!!! He is
awesome!! This whole week we have been looking for this soda Schweeps passion fruit and we still didn't find it!!!
hahah but we are going into the city today to buy it!!!
Saturday: We had some odd thing happen 1st we went to go
teach some new investigators and apparently the wife only spoke English so we
had like a double lesson. Elder Robinson
taught her husband and I taught her in English hahah and she had some weird
questions!!! She ask if there were such thing as miracle babies and I was like what’s
a miracle baby and she said a lady got pregnant and three days later she had a
baby!! I was just like yeah, that doesn't happen!!! hahah but on our way home
like 3 houses down from our house we had our first encounter with some dogs!!!!
We were just walking minding our own business and I look over and I see these
two dogs and they start barking and sprinting at us!!! hahah and as soon as I
saw them I was gone. I took off running
and I look back and I see my companion with one dog at his feet so I turn to
run to help him and I just see him roundhouse kick this dog in the face!!!!
hahaha and he starts running towards me and now we have both dogs chasing us
and we still have to make it to our house and unlock the front door to make it
into our yard and these dogs are fast so we get to the door and I couldn't have
even tried to unlock the door without the dogs getting us. I just launched myself over the wall and
open the door for my comp and we both get in and we can just hear the dogs
right outside our wall!!! hahahah it was pretty funny!!!
Sunday: We got the privilege of having President Kretly in
our branch, which was awesome, but we also got a new missionary couple. Their names are Sister and Elder Dillie…. It’s
Shane Dillies parents!!!! hahahahah what a small world, it was pretty funny!!!
We had a good week and I love my mission and I love helping
people become closer to the Lord!!! I love you guys!!

Week 7
Heyy family sorry I don’t have time I have to go!!! hahaha
Not!! How’s everyone doing??? How’s Wickenburg,
any cool news!! I’m doing good here!!!! We
had transfers today I’m getting a new companion!!!! Elder Robinson!! I know nothing about him!!!
I get all your pictures you email me and I still haven’t
seen any monkeys!!!! hahah but when I do I will let you know!! I exercise most
days when I feel like it hahah and I have read the Book of Mormon one time here
and I’m in Alma again!! I am also almost done with the New Testament!!!I don’t
know elder Williams and all of our investigators are doing good we found a lot
of new family’s this week!!!
Monday: after emailing we went to the beach with all the
other elders in the area and we played American football!!!! Which is way
better that soccer!!! hahah
Tuesday: I had to dig a hole for our trash pile hahah we
burn all our trash and bury it in the hole. The hole I dug was huge!!!!!! It
was about 6 foot deep!! After that it
was another day of serving the lord. hahah We did street contacts and and taught some people about Jesus!!
Wed: Not much happened that I can remember all the days are
starting to blurr together!! I’m going to have to write it all down, so I know
what to write about!!! We taught some people, we had a member come with us his
name is Benindito he is an albino black guy and he is pretty funny and he is a
boss at teaching!! He is 26 and joined the church less than a year ago!!! We
asked him about his conversion and he said when I heard the doctrine I just
knew it was true and before he used to drink a lot and do other things!!
Thurs: Honestly I can’t remember what happened!! hahah
Friday: I went on
splits with Elder Olsen the other new elder and we went out and the day was
awesome!!! We did a ton of street contacts and taught 3 lessons!! We taught the
restoration to 7 construction workers on the side of the road!!! hahah Then
after that they were like, we want to hear more, so we got all their numbers
and now the other elders are teaching some of them!!
Saturday: I don’t remember!!! Sunday we had church and we
had a ton of investigators come!!! Then after church we went to pick up a
member for a lesson we had with them and when we were at her house their
neighbors the wife and the husband got in a fight so elder going and I ran in
and had to grab the guy and pull him away and calm him down!! We wanted to
smash him but it wouldn’t have been a good idea!!! Hahah Thats about it !!! I

Week 6
Heyy family!!!! I'm am doing good I don't have much time today
because in like 10 min we are going to the beach!!!!!! But i'll answer the
questions!!! For the most part I am happy but I do get discouraged because the
language is very difficult so I have been relying on the lord a lot lately. My
debit card just doesn't work on an ATM I used but I figured it out and I can use
my credit card i just haven't! The dockers you gave me I ripped the darker ones and they cannot be fixed!! I can do the google plus!!! But I forgot my camera
today! I haven't really had an African dish yet! But I had this stuff called Matapa and its like leaves, peanuts and I don know what else hahah but you put
it over rice and it looks disgusting it's a nasty green color but I ate it and
it wasn't that bad hahah!! Send me like pizza crust recipe and recipe for your
rolls and all that are good!! I think I will stay for a while but I don't know!! Yes, I look at my blog every week!!! and ill take pictures of the next big spider I see!!! No cool animals yet!! and I hate how there is no regular milk here!!! We didn't have much happen this week we had the zoneleader in our house for two
days because the other elders in our house weren't getting good numbers!! hahah
and they all got chastised and got in trouble because they weren't setting a good
example for me!!! hahah We found a lot of new family's this week and i dug a huge
hole that I will send pictures of next week!!! I am really sorry I couldn't write
more and I miss you all I will write extra long next week and lots of

Week 5
Heyy y'all!! It sounds like you had a lot of fun at the family reunion!!! I wish could have been there!! I cant wait to see baby Liam!!! What did Kade get
for his birthday?? Can you send me some recipes?? hahah The one I want the
most is the gravy for biscuits and gravy!!! This week was good we didn't have a lot
of action this week though!! It was a pretty slow week!! First i'll answer
questions the language is very frustrating it seems like I cant speak a lick of
Portuguese, but i'm slowly getting better, I love my area but it is like walking in
the sand dunes everywhere you go!!! hahah My comp is great we get along
good and don't worry I always take my malaria pills
Monday: after we emailed we
played soccer again and this time we played kids that were almost our age and we got destroyed I think the score was 30 to 10 half of their points is because I suck
at goalie!!
Week 4
Heyy!! That's soo exciting that am an uncle and i was praying and fasting
for Kinzie!! I cant wait to see him and meet him in person!!! We had some
interesting things happen this week!!!! But I am very sad I am missing good
thunder storms!!! I wont be able to get you the picture until next week!!! But

Ok so my week was good on Monday after we went
shopping and did our emails we went and played soccer with some like 10 year old
kids and they just freakin destroyed us!!! hahaha I don't know how they were so
